The Wedding Day “Emergency Kit”

Every now and then when you are planning, you may stumble upon an “emergency kit” for brides or bridesmaids.  As a planner who has used hers at pretty much every wedding, I have to say that I can not imagine having a wedding without it.  Ours is actually in a rolling suitcase and filled with every little thing that you may possibly need, but if you are wanting to put one together on a smaller scale for your wedding, I definitely recommend it!!  There are a couple of ways to do it – you can either choose to purchase one already made, or put one together yourself.  It depends on the time you have and how personal you want it to be.  Below are some options for both, along with some suggestions on what you need to make sure you have with you on your wedding day.

Remembering our 2011 Weddings …

Every year, there are thousands of weddings across the world.  We love the fact that we get a little piece of that pie, and every single one is special to us.  Out of all of the weddings we got to participate in, no two were the same.  Every couple was different, with different styles, different tastes, and an overall different look they wanted to achieve.  We are so excited to write this blog post, as it brought back so many memories from all of our 2011 couples and weddings.  Below are a few of our favorite details, memories, and moments from our 2011 weddings.  If we put every single thing in here, we would never finish this blog, so we limited it to our absolute top favorites.  2012, you have a lot to live up to.  To our 2011 couples, you will be missed and we wish you all years of happiness.  To everyone reading this, enjoy!

{Couple of the Month} Kevin and Kim!

Congratulations to Kevin and Kim, who are our November Couple of the Month! Kevin and Kim will be married on the ever-popular once-in-a-century 11/11/11 this year. Although they may be young, they have already had quite a life together!

Fall Weddings Are Upon Us…

Once November comes, it seems like everyone’s minds starts to really turn to fall in Florida – the leaves are falling, the air is cooler, everyone starts talking about the holidays, the family time, and shopping…but my favorite part about November is actually having the fall themed weddings!  With a fall theme, you can really add a lot of creative touches to either bring out your favorite part of fall or really focus around a color palette.

{Richard and Mirela} Henderson Beach State Park Vow Renewal

Richard and Mirela came to Destin, Florida from Oklahoma to renew their vows after fifteen years of marriage.  The weather did not cooperate, but everyone kept their fingers crossed and after about a two hour thunderstorm delay, we ended up with a beautiful ceremony on the beach!
